Course Description |
This course covers basic economic concepts with emphasis on issues of relevance to students across the range of tourism-related majors offered at IFTM. With the help of basic theoretical foundations and economic tools, students can analyze tourism, understand the impact of tourism on the entire economy; and understand the special features of the tourism economy in Macao. |

Teaching Methodology and Learning Environment |
Lectures will be mainly theoretical and students are encouraged to take part in the in-class discussion of current economic issues as they relate to tourism. In-class exercises/assignments will be given to familiarize students with concepts and analytical tools discussed in each class. |

In-class Question and Answer
The exams must be taken on the scheduled dates. There will be no make-up for the midterm exam. In case of missing the midterm (with approved document), the Final exam will be counted for a larger fraction of the Final grade. For Final, supplementary exams can only be scheduled with approved documentation listed in the Student Handbook. |
